Jessica's Senior Shoot | Chandler Senior Portrait Photographer

Had a really fun shoot today with Jessica and her family. We started in studio in her dance outfit and made our way over to the Groves for an outdoor session. Jessica was a trooper doing her moves on the dirt with her bare feet and sticks and whatever fruit or nuts were all over the ground... guess that's why they call it the Groves. Looking forward to her Western outfit session. Enjoy.

Lauer Family Portrait Session | Phoenix Family Photographer

Had a great time doing a family session with our good friends Steve and Linda. The kids have grown so much these last few years and with the weather so nice this time of year, I was really excited to get back out there after our warm Summer. We had another first doing a shoot at Heratige Square in Downtown Phoenix... too bad they were overseeding the grass and was caution taped off... oh well, here's a sneak peak at few pics we captured.

Ashley's Senior Shoot | Gilbert Senior Photographer | Highland High School | Class of 2012

Ashley wanted 'rustic', not Western mind you and definately not desert... more like Country shiek (lol). Beleive it or not, here in Chandler/Gilbert Arizona rustic is actually kinda hard to come by with all this urban sprawl. Her mom told me they spent hours scouting the town thinking Agritopia was the spot but realized she didn't like it after all... boy was she sweating it out the day before the shoot. Hopefully the spot I got fit the bill. Here's a sneak peak of a few of my fav's...

Elysia's Senior Shoot | Gilbert Senior Photographer | Gilbert High School | Class of 2012

So we met up today at Goldfield Ghost Town in Apache Junction to shoot Elysia's Senior Pics and boy am I glad she suggested this location because there were so many phenominal 'spots' to choose from, we barely scratched the surface. We were there for nearly 3 hours eventually ran out of daylight. Elysia was a trooper cause it was quite warm and a pretty exhausting shoot. Although I wish I could've had a re-do on some of them, there were quite a bit of keepers... here's a teaser of a few of my fav's

Elaina's Senior Shoot | Chandler Senior Photographer | Basha High School | Class of 2012

After weeks of asking when we're going to do this and under tremendous pressure of making it her own (aka "don't screw this up dad"), I finally settled on when and where... MANY, many thanks to Barry and Maritza for helping/assisting the shoot. I had a nice surprise when my son decided to drop by and help out as well.

Here's some fav's of my daughter's shoot...

Summer Almost Over Studio Session

Had a chance to test out the new studio setup recently. I bought the materials and set everything up before summer but it was way too hot to do anything until the timing worked out and we got a break from the heat Mid Sept (although its now back in the 90's... in Oct., Crazy!

Anyhow, I'm pretty happy with the way the shots turned out. Here's a few from the session.

Blogging directly from Flickr...

Up late last night trying to link them together. I got it to work but as with many things internet, a little quirky. I'll have to adjust how I do things but in the long run, I think it'll help keep things fresh and not have to do the same thing on multiple sites.

High School Volleyball Shoot

So Barry and I did a T&I Shoot for a HS Volleyball Team(s) and since they're very much on the portrait side of things, I've decided to post a couple of my fav's here...

I did quite a bit of post-processing on this one as you can tell.

This one's pretty much SOOC (straight out of camera)

My First Wedding...

So I said I'd never do one... I did. Nothing personal, I just think wedding photography should be left to professional wedding photographers. They have to think fast, be uber creative, and never miss a moment or its gone forever. No pressure there. I was convinced however by my friend (the Groom) that since it was a second wedding for both he and the bride it'd be low pressure, just a few family members and friends, no big deal, very laid back. I think okay... I can handle that so me and my bud Barry scout the venue that week, get a few idea's and think 'cool, should be fun'. Wedding day, Bride comes out in a spectacular dress, my mouth drops and my hands get clammy... its showtime!

Many thanks to the Craig and Lynn for being waaaay patient with my rookiness and to Barry for being my assistant and 2nd shooter... his talent is hard to keep up with.

Wow, been so busy...

So I did a High School Team Shoot with Barry over at 10framesasecond.com a couple Saturdays ago (pics soon to be posted) and a 6 month old baby shoot the very next day... been post-processing stuff ever since and now I finally have a little time to post some pics (its 12:30am btw). I got some really nice captures from a seriously beautiful girl with some hilarious expressions...

Here's a couple of my personal fav's...

and finally some classics...

Hope you like them as much as I do.
